The Undead Bookshop is a traveling bookshop. We specialize in Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy literature. There is no physical address. We materialize at cafes, breweries, festivals, markets, and anywhere else we might run into readers of weird fiction. We have books, handmade crafts, printed goods, and other odds and ends available at each manifestation. Our service area is Los Angeles County.

This bookshop is the project of Lauren Salerno. She is a writer, graphic designer, and former librarian. She co-founded the highly successful reading series, Shades & Shadows, where she curated a bi-monthly lineup of dark fiction authors. Lauren’s essays have been published in the Los Angeles Times, The Mary Sue, and Gamut. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and tiny dog.

The Undead Bookshop is woman-owned, Latinx-owned, and queer-owned. We believe that books are powerful and change lives every day. The freedom to read is precious and the institutions which make access to knowledge possible are to be cherished and protected.
